What people often ask

  • How do I know if Torc Advisory Group is the right fit for my business?

    Torc Advisory Group works best with owners and leadership teams of established businesses — from family operations to mid-sized teams — who want to lead better, grow, or work through a change. The first conversation will tell us whether the fit is there. If it isn't, we'll usually be able to point you toward someone better suited.

  • What does the first conversation look like?

    An initial conversation usually runs 30 to 45 minutes, with no obligation. The point is to understand where the business is, what challenges you are trying to overcome, and whether Torc Advisory Group is the right fit for that work. If it is, we'll talk through what an engagement might look like from there. If it isn't, you'll still leave with useful thinking.

  • How does pricing work?

    Pricing depends on the engagement — its shape, depth, and how long it runs. Some clients work on a project basis (a leadership program, a strategy day), others on a retainer (ongoing coaching, board advisory). We'll work through what fits, and what the investment looks like, at the first conversation.

  • Do you work outside South-East Queensland?

    Yes. Torc Advisory Group is based in Toowoomba but works with clients across South-East Queensland, regional Queensland, and interstate. Some engagements run in-person, others remotely via video, depending on what works for the business.

  • Can services be combined?

    Yes — most engagements combine elements. A leadership program might include one-to-one coaching for the senior team. A strategy engagement often runs alongside ongoing board advisory. The structure follows what the business needs, not what fits a packaged offering.

  • How long are engagements?

    Engagement length varies. Some are short and focused — a single strategy day, a few coaching sessions, a targeted leadership intervention. Others run over months or years, with several long-term client engagements still finding value in Dan’s advice after a decade or more. Engagements aren't held to minimum terms or 12-month contracts; they run as long as they're useful, and stop when they're not.
